A pencil portrait on paper by Miguel Covarrubias, titled Man. The drawing in an ironic manner depicts a man sitting in a chair in a tense pose. The artists signature is lower on the right. Matted and framed. Miguel Covarrubias, 1904 to 1957, was a Mexican painter, one of the most famous caricaturists of his time, illustrator, ethnologist and art historian. Along with his American colleague Matthew W. Stirling, he was the co discoverer of the Olmec civilization. Collectible Mexican Fine Art.
