Hans Holbein the Younger, c. 1497 to 1543, was a German Swiss painter and printmaker who worked in a Northern Renaissance style, and is considered one of the greatest portraitists of the 16th century. Francesco Bartolozzi, 1727 to 1815, was an Italian engraver, whose most productive period was spent in London. He is noted for popularizing the crayon method of engraving.
