A tall West African Bobo Nwenka hand painted and carved wooden plank mask. The mask is adorned with a tall superstructure of wings, surmounted by an avian head and bird legs. Known as Nwenka by the Blacksmiths cult, such masks are worn by men at Burial and funeral rites, as well as harvest ceremonies. Circa: 20th century.
