A collection of six antique Grand Tour hand carved glass intaglios of various shapes made in the Ancient Roman 1st century manner. The intaglios depict female profiles of Ancient Roman goddesses and Alexander The Great portraits. Such objects were a popular souvenir production during the Grand Tour era, the 17th to early 19th century custom of a traditional trip through Europe, with Italy as a key destination, undertaken by upper class young European men.
