The panels represent portraits of Heian era waka poets, Fujiwara no Takamitsu and Princess Kishi. The paintings are accompanied by poems, kanji and hiragana letters in flowing script style, also known as chirashigaki. Provenance: estate of Professor Harry Stone, Brentwood, CA.
