Two hand carved wooden axes from Africa. First ax of the Dogon people, Mali, West Africa. The handle is modeled as a screw with three balls at the beginning, middle and end. The second ax is from the Kingdom of Cuba of the Republic of Congo, Central Africa. It has a female figure in relief at the top, and the point bifurcates, depicting part of her hairstyle.
