From the supplement of Dai Chikamatsu Zenshu, The Complete Works of Chikamatsu. Pirate Kezori Kyuemon in the play, Hakata Kojoro Nami Makura. Signed with Calligraphy, lower right. Noda Kyuho, given name Dosan, was born in Tokyo in 1879. He studied Japanese-style painting with Kogyo Terazaki and Western style painting at Hakubakai, The White Horse Society.
