A fine pair of Russian gilt silver candlesticks. The body is covered with a bright green enamel over a guilloche ground and adorned with an openwork overlay depictig Neoclassical motif with a torch among scrolled foliage and set with a round cabochon cut ruby. The base and top part feature embossed wreaths and ornaments. Raised on four legs modeled as pine cones. Hallmarked with an 88 Russian silver standard and the makers marks.
