An antique Chinese gilt porcelain vase. The globular shaped vase with a tall straight foot and a long neck, decorated in gilt with a dragon and a Phoenix bird striding in mutual pursuit of the flaming pearl amidst billowing clouds and scrolling flames above crashing waves. The neck is adorned with gilded stylised shou roundels beneath a ruyi band at the rim, floral and foliage ornaments on a powder blue ground. Marked with a Guangxu six character blue ink mark, on the bottom. Circa: early 20th century.
