An antique Italian hand painted ceramic figure in the manner of Franz Xaver Bergmann. The figure depicts an Oriental woman holding a pot on a shoulder. Mounted on a figural base. Circa: 1910s. Numbered, 1517 29, on the bottom. Franz Xavier Bergman, 1861 to 1936, was the owner of a Viennese foundry who produced numerous patinated and cold painted bronzes, Oriental, erotic, and animal figures, the latter often humanized or whimsical, humorous objets dart.
