Color lithograph on paper, after a 1751 painting titled Venus Consoling Love by Francois Boucher, 1703 to 1770, a prominent French Rococo artist. The artwork depicts a mythological scene of Venus disarming Cupid. The painting became famous as it was in the private collection of Madame de Pompadour. The original piece is now in the collection of the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. The print is signed in pencil in the lower right. Beige mat, golden frame.
