An early to mid-20th century glazed and hand-painted porcelain figurine. The piece represents an owl sitting on a pile of books, one titled Liber Sapientiae, also known as Book of Wisdom, a part of the Christian biblical canon. Embossed marks 3954 8 27 are on the bottom. Presumably by Goldscheider Wien, a porcelain and majolica production that was most prominent during the Art Deco era. Collectible Porcelain Ware And Decor.
