A Russian silver letter opener with a smooth blade and plant decorations to the ricasso on both sides. Features a light brown agate handle with applied overlays depicting a dragon wrapped around an arrow set with gemstones, most likely diamonds, on both sides. The top is crowned with a purple ruby artichoke with lots of petals. Hallmarked with an 88 Russian Imperial silver standard, an Imperial warrant mark, and other Russian hallmarks.
