A fine quality Russian 88 gilt silver and enamel Easter egg case. The case is separated into two halves and opens to reveal a gold washed interior. The exterior of the egg is enameled with highly detailed polychrome floral, foliage, geometrical, and scrollwork patterns, and enameled images of a swan on a pond made in the Cloisonne technique. Completed with a figural silver stand with three legs modeled as lions paws with wings on top. Hallmarked with an 88 Imperial Russian silver standard and the Cyrillic makers marks.
