A fine quality Russian silver kovsh. Kovsh is a traditional Russian drinking vessel or ladle with a single handle. The item has a rounded body with a lobed bottom, a hooked decorated handle and a pronounced front and decorated with a relief rope-designed adornment to the upper part. The rim is set with round cabochon cut garnets. Features a gold washed interior. Hallmarked on the underside with an 88 Imperial Russian silver standard and other Russian hallmarks.
