Established by Colonel General von Brauchitsch on December 20, 1939 to reward tank crews. The design of the sign was developed by the Berlin company Ernst Peekhaus. Second is the Balloon Observers badge, which was a military decoration of Nazi Germany during World War II. It was awarded to German Army personnel who operated gas balloons flying them 300 ft to 500 ft above the ground. Has manufacturers marks on the back.
