On the eagles chest are crossed swords with a black cross. In its paws the eagle holds a wreath of oak leaves containing a swastika. Second is the WW2 German Veterans Association Visor Cap badge. Third is the Luftwaffe Reconnaissance Pilot qualification badge, which was established on January 30, 1941 by Hermann Wilhelm Goering. The badge was awarded to the flight crew of the Luftwaffe reconnaissance aviation for a certain number of combat sorties.
