A set of three German military cross badges. The first is the Iron Cross of the 1913 model. The second and third are German iron crosses of the 1914 model. The Iron Cross is a military order established in 1813 in the Kingdom of Prussia and then awarded in the German Empire and Nazi Germany until 1945. The order was established by Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm III on March 10, 1813 as a reward for military personnel who distinguished themselves in the war of liberation against the Napoleonic occupation.
