An antique Japanese Meiji era enamel over copper plate. The exterior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of cranes in blossoming flowers, and plants on a turquoise round made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features traditional foliage and floral motifs. The backside is decorated with a swirl ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. Unmarked. Circa: the late 19th to the early 20th century.
