A late 19th century English bowl made by F. C. Osler. The white bowl has a dark cobalt blue edge and an inner edging in the form of a rhythmic floral pattern of a light brown color. On the reverse side there is a makers mark with the inscription 100 Oxfords, F.C. Osler, London. Also features a diamond registration mark. During the period 1842-1883 the British Patent Office issued a diamond mark along with the registration number when a design was registered. The Roman numeral IV at the top of the diamond is for clay ware. English Tableware And Serveware.
