An oil painting on canvas by Guan Liang, 1900 to 1986. The painting, written in the post-impressionist style, is called Forest and depicts a landscape, a wide path among tall trees. Signed lower right. The painting comes in a dark carved frame. There is also an inscription in Chinese on the reverse side of the canvas. Guan Liang, Chinese artist, was an important member of the first generation of oil painters in China and was known for blending Western and Chinese artistic styles.
