An antique Victorian silver plate ladle and a serving spoon. The ladle bowl has a ribbed shell like surface, and the handle is richly decorated with an intricate engraved pattern. The back is marked 1847 Rogers Bros., AI. 1847 Rogers Bros is a trademark used starting in 1862, when Meriden Britannia Company purchased the hollowware division of Rogers Brothers Mfg. Co. and joined up with independent metalsmiths to form International Silver Co. The serving spoon has an elegant floral design and an M monogram on the handle. Suitable for home collection and daily use. Dates from the late 19th to early 20th century. Collectible Silverware, Flatware And Cutlery.
