A vintage oil painting on board depicting an interior genre scene after the original oil painting on canvas, Wine is a Mocker, c. 1668 to 70, by Jan Havickszoon Steen, c. 1626 to 1679. Inscribed, Steen, lower right. Framed. Circa: the first half of the 20th century. Jan Havickszoon Steen was a Dutch Golden Age painter, one of the leading genre painters of the 17th century. His works are known for their psychological insight, sense of humour and abundance of colour. One of a kind artwork.
