A fine and very large antique Italian polychrome majolica ceramic charger plate depicting a portrait of a Renaissance woman, possibly Cassandra Pavoni, in a grotesque framing showing the elaborate acanthus leaves, a green man, and other motifs. Marked on the backside: Faenza, Cassandra. Circa the second half of the 19th century or early 20th century.
