A pair of antique Japanese Sumida Gawa potter bowls. Th exteriors of the ware are decorated with characters peeking over the rim of the bowl into what may be thought of as a pond and adorned with a pair of handles. Marked with impressed Calligraphy stamps, on the bottom. Circa: early 20th century. Sumida pottery was created specifically for export between the late 1800s and the 1920s.
