A Central African Gabon Mitsogho hand carved and hand painted white wooden statue. The statue depicts a white human figure with black pigment facial features and clothes elements. The base is adorned with raffia. Mounted on a rectangular shaped base. Such figures were likely used as markers for ceremonial and ritual areas, letting the public know they were entering Sacred grounds. Provenance: Ex. Bob Banz MD.
