Attributed to Norman Wilfred Lewis, American, 1909 to 1979, oil painting on canvas depicting a portrait of an Afro American nude woman. Unsigned. Framed. Norman Wilfred Lewis was an American painter, scholar, and teacher. Lewis, who was African American and of Bermudian descent, was associated with abstract expressionism, and used representational strategies to focus on black urban life and his communitys struggles. One of a kind artwork.
