A painting tempera on board by Jamini Roy. A bright, expressive painting depicting a rickshaw ride by two passengers, one of whom is Krishna, the blue skinned god of Hinduism. Authors signature in Indian language lower right. Jamini Roy, 1887 to 1972, a celebrated Indian artist, is renowned for his distinctive painting style that fuses traditional Indian folk art with elements of modernism.
