Similar posters were widely distributed throughout the Soviet Union until the collapse of the USSR in 1991. Irakli Toidze, 1902 to 1985, is a famous Georgian Soviet painter and graphic artist. Winner of four Stalin Prizes, the most prestigious awards of the Soviet Union.
