Signed by the artist lower right, and numbered, 21 of 120, lower left. Franz Priking, born Pricking, is a German painter and lithographer born 1929 in Mulheim and died 1979. Franz Priking, painter of landscapes, animals, still lifes, painter of mixed techniques, who always preferred to paint in the Expressionist style. In 1958, Priking was the winner of the Young Painting Prize in Paris. Other notable recognitions include becoming an elected member of the International Institute of Arts and Letters of Geneva in 1961, and the prize of the Mediterranean Union of Modern Art in 1972 and the Leonard de Vinci Prize.
