Lot 0230: ANTIQUE GERMAN RICHARD ECKERT PORCELAIN FIGURAL GROUP

41 reviews

A fine and highly collectible late 19th century porcelain group produced by Richard Eckert and Co., Volkstedt, Thuringia, Germany circa 1890s. The piece represents an unusual genre scene with the artist painting a portrait of a noble lady wearing a lovely dress with a floral pattern and sitting in front of him. The painting, placed on the easel, is beautifully detailed and is signed lower right: Becker. The group is neatly hand painted in delicate pastel colors and accented with gilding. Raised on a round base with a blue ink makers mark underneath. European Porcelain Decorative Figurines, Antiques And Collectibles For Home Decor.
