Robert Delandre, French 1879 to 1961, an antique cast bronze figure The boy brigand. The figure shows a brash young boy dressed like a highwayman, wearing a slouch hat and cloak, with pistols in his belt. Cast by Gorham Foundry circa 1906. Signed to the base: Robert Delandre Sc Paris 1906 and stamped Gorham co Q79. Note: Robert Delandre studied under Jean Falguiere, Marius Mercie and Denis Puech. He created a number of monuments including the Monument to the Fallen at the Ecole Militaire in St-Hippolyte du Fort and the Monument to the Glory of the Foreign Legion at Sidi-Bel-Abes, and others.
