A rare high quality large antique Japanese, late Meiji period, Silver wire and enamel over copper vase. The amphora shaped vase has a narrow fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of a rooster on dark green ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The base and the neck of the ware are adorned with polychrome enamel foliage and geometrical ornaments made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
