An antique Japanese, late Meiji period, enamel over gilt copper vase. The unusual shaped vase has a long fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of blossoming Iris flowers on the dark blue ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck and the base are adorned with a polychrome enamel foliage ornament made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century.
