A large Russian traditional gilt silver kovsh of a characteristic form featuring an oval shaped bowl and a single handle. The exterior of the kovsh is enameled with multicolor scrollwork patterns manufactured using the cloisonne technique and adorned with gemstones to the edge and the handle. The bowl is gold washed inside and bears a pronounced front. Hallmarked with the 88 Russian silver proof and manufacturer marks. Total weight: 217 g.
