An antique Tibetan patinated bronze sculpture. The artwork represents Vajrasattva, a bodhisattva in the Mahayana, Mantrayana Vajrayana Buddhist traditions, with serene face, eyes and mouth closed, dressed a silk dhoti that covers the lower part of his body and is draped in front. It is decorated with chiseled edges and pendants of gold. On the neck, ears, wrists and head is wearing gilded jewelry with cabochons that would contain carved stones. The jewelry is elaborate and has floral and vegetal designs. The crown with five pointed pinnacles stands out. The hair is gathered in a high updo, which is raised under a lotus topknot. Mounted on a double floral lotus base. The sculpture and the base are engraved with traditional detailed patterns, and adorned with gold and turquoise patina. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. Unmarked. Antique and Vintage Asian and Oriental Buddhist Figurines, Figures, Sculptures, Statues, Religious Wares, Home Decor, and Collectibles.
