An antique Japanese porcelain footed cup. Late Meiji era, before 1912. Kutani ware. Miniature size, elongated shape. The piece is decorated with a hand-painted multi-figure garden scene. Red rims and foot with gilt ornaments. Iidaya style. The inside of the cup bears a calligraphic inscription. Signed Kutani-yaki on the bottom. Kutani ware is a style of Japanese porcelain which originated in the former Kaga Province.
