An antique Meiji era Japanese inlaid bronze vase. The vase of elongated ovoid form with applied flat shoulder, short neck and upright rim with a brown patina, decorated in copper, silver, gilt and shakudotakazogan with a heron beneath blossoming iris looking on at two others in flight.
