Oil on canvas painting by Richard-Karl Zommer, 1866 to 1939, a German-born Russian artist, one of the founders of the Tiflis Society of Fine Arts. The artwork depicts a panoramic view of a Middle Eastern market with a mosque in the background. Signed by the artist in the lower right. From the late 1890s to the early 1900s, Sommer worked extensively in Central Asia, including Tashkent, Bukhara, and Samarkand. Collectible Oriental Fine Art, Genre Painting.
