An antique Russian gold five rubles coin from the reign of Emperor Nicholas II, 1868 to 1918. It features Nicholas II bust facing left and an inscription in Russian around the rim: WITH THE MERCY OF GOD NICHOLAS II THE EMPEROR AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIA, on the obverse and crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with ribbons on the crown on the obverse. The denomination and the year of the coin are minted at the bottom: 5 rubles 1904. Well preserved coin with good detail. Graded as MS 64 by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. Note: Nicholas II or Nikolai II Alexandrovich Romanov, known in the Russian Orthodox Church as Saint Nicholas the Passion-Bearer, was the last Emperor of Russia, King of Congress Poland and Grand Duke of Finland, ruling from 1 November 1894 until his abdication on 15 March 1917.
