The badge is made of a tombac in the shape of a rhombic frame, covered with blue hot enamel, the star is ruby enamel, gilded. Screwback design, marked to the back: Leningrad Mint. The Military Pilot badge was established by order of the USSR NPO No. 235 dated October 31, 1938, for pilots who graduated from military aviation schools of the Red Army Air Force.
