The Russian Ukrainian badge To the Hero of the January Events of 1918 was established in 1927 on the anniversary of the events that took place in Kyiv at the Arsenal plant in December-January 1917-18, to reward participants in uprisings. The factory workers put forward a demand to the Ukrainian Central Rada to recognize the power of the Soviets, but they rejected the proposal. The uprising captured the entire central part of Kyiv; the Ukrainian Peoples Republic did not have the necessary forces to suppress it. The badge is a convex five-pointed star covered in red enamel against the background of a cogwheel. A barricade and rebel workers are depicted against the background of a red star. At the bottom of the sign is a laurel wreath with a red enamel ribbon, and dates 1917 on the left side and 1918 on the right side. On the left of the image is the inscription Arsenal Kyiv, and on the red enamel flag is the inscription FOR THE POWER OF THE SOVIET. Soviet Medals, Badges, Military Awards And Historical Memorabilia For Collectors.
