A rare Soviet era award badge 10 Years to OGPU, 1928. The badge is made in the form of a banner placed on a wreath of ears of corn. The central part of the banner, framed by a laurel wreath, is occupied by a relief profile of Dzerzhinsky with stamped dates 1917 on the left and 1927 on the right. Screwback design. The award is timed to coincide with the tenth anniversary of the Joint State Political Directorate (OGPU) to reward honorary employees of the department.
