A WW1 Russian silver badge of the Life Guards Volynsky Regiment. The badge is shaped like a wreath of wheatear on one side and a palm branch on the other. In the center of the badge, there is a depiction of a standing soldier holding a flag, symbolizing bravery and patriotism. Next to the soldier is a seated woman dressed in traditional Russian attire, holding a shield with the date February 27, 1917 and a branch in her left hand. Below, the badge is engraved with the soldiers name followed by the regiments name Volynetz. With a multi piece screwback construction and an original nut.
