During the First World War he worked as a cartographer.Albrecht Brucks work was, and still is, mainly recognized through his very detailed etchings of landscapes and well-known buildings, reminiscent of vedute. He made these etchings according to his own templates as well as those of others, such as Thomas Herbst. In addition to Berlin and the Brandenburg region, he also worked in Dresden and Hamburg for a time, where he produced the Hamburg etchings for the Commetersche Kunsthandlung around 1906.
