A fine Russian gilt silver cigarette case, the lid is decorated with overlays depicting a double-headed Imperial eagle within a laurel wreath, a swallow on a blooming branch set with rubies and diamonds and a pair of finely detailed sphinx figurines below. The clasp is set with an oval cabochon-cut gemstone. Hallmarked with an 84 Russian Imperial standard, and other Russian hallmarks.
