A Rene Lalique frosted and clear crystal figurine of a miniature Pheasant form a card holder, circa the second half of 20th century. Beautifully detailed, hand finished. Acid etched mark to the bottom: Lalique France. Rene Lalique, 1860 to 1945, was a French designer, who was best known for his glasswork. His career started in 1885 as a jewelry maker, but from 1911 he predominantly focused on glasswork. According to some sources, Rene Lalique is the best known 20th century maker of molded, opalescent glass, producing most of his best designs during the 1920s and 1930s.
