A Polish Cavalry officers sword or saber with steel scabbard. The curved blade is made of high-quality, non-hardened steel. The blade is adorned with etched foliage and floral ornaments, an image of an eagle in a crown, and the inscription in Polish, Honor I Ojczyzna translated as Honor and Homeland. The handle features a wire-wrapped leather-covered handle, and a brass branch guard and pommel. Marked on the ricasso: A. Mann, Warszawa, AMA. Antique and Vintage European Cold Steel Weapons For Collectors.
