An antique Chinese late Qing blue and white Doucai porcelain plate. The plate is adorned with a scene with a Royal court scene with a maid, a cart, and bats. The borders are adorned with a floral motif on a cobalt blue ground. The backside features a red ink foliage pattern. Unmarked. Doucai is a technique in painting Chinese porcelain, where parts of the design, and some outlines of the rest, are painted in underglaze blue, and the piece is then glazed and fired.
