An antique early 19th-century Russian silver trinket box. Round shape, parcel-gilt inside. The cover is repousse and chased with the profile portrait of Count Alexander Vasilevich Suvorov. Titled in Russian along the rim within a laurel border: Count Alexander Vasilevich Suvorov Rimnik Gen. in Chief. Additionally inscribed in Russian, CLF Copied by Pritki beneath. The base is chased and engraved with an allegory of the victories of Rimnik, Ismail, Fokchani and Kinburn in 1787, 1789 and 1790. Marked IBG. Weight: 238 grams.
